Martinal® aluminum hydroxide specialties, either ground or finely precipitated, can be used as flame retardants in processes that require temperatures at or below 210°C. They are commonly used in different polymeric backbones for cable compounds. High-purity Martinal® flame retardants are available in grades with varying chemical properties. Designed for use primarily in plastics and rubber, they can also be used in other applications.
